Copyright Victoria and Albert Museum

Vison of Beatrice from Dante's Purgatory.

This was an early work by Nathaniel Westlake (1833-1921). Made for the 1864 Exhibition of Stained Glass at the South Kensington Museum (now the V&A) in London, it was intended to show off stained glass as a fine art, following his extensive research on medieval stained glass work.

This is on display at the Victorian and Albert Museum
